In the modern society that we live in, the owner of Watermark, the venue of choice, checked up on the bride via his cell phone. Loving the contrast of the beauty of a wedding and the reliance on technology, I snapped a shot of Russell on his phone for the first image in the series below. The rest of the images are of the lovely bride and groom, who posed with the unique and captivating backgrounds in Watermark and the surrounding Asbury Park areas. When we stumbled upon the painted wall with the mural of the woman, I was in a photography Utopia. The backgrounds weren’t the only thing that provided for great pictures though; the groom was a natural model, and the bride was beautiful. Congratulations Lauren and Stephen, I had a lot of fun with you two.

Many people fall in love with the beach, but only a few lucky ones fall in love at the beach. These two thank Monterey Beach for bringing them together. In our session, I captured them at places that they hold close to their hearts: the Monterey Beach sign, the Labrador Lounge sign, and in front of the Monterey sunset. Hopping from place to place allowed for a variety of different shots and perspectives. The shoot was definitely enjoyable with this laid back, gorgeous couple.

South Africa is the new place to meet, apparently! These two, brought together by their veterinarian aspirations, found love in a foreign paradise, and brought it back with them to the States. They were an absolute pleasure to shoot, and they were a very photogenic pair. The beauty of a bay sunset, as well as a young couple in love, was enough to provide for a successful session.

It seems to be a coincidence that a few of my nieces are pregnant, or better yet, a blessing. Either way, I had the pleasure of photographing one of my nieces, Heather, along with her husband, and her beautiful baby bump. In addition to the natural bay props, we used a chalkboard with “Heather + Nathan = Clara” to up the cute factor. I hope you have a safe and welcoming entry into the world, Clara!

My assistant found a new perk of working for me: getting pictures of her and her sister, and her and her boyfriend, by the bay! We’re surprising her mother for her birthday, and I’m pretty sure she’s going to love them. Between the two pairs, we really got some great shots.
